71st OKAE Il-2 skin
« on: November 09, 2011, 04:42:44 AM »
Lyric1 found me some photos and profiles on this Il-2. It is an Il-2KR of the 71st OKAE (Independent Aerial Spotting Squadron) flown by Lt (Jg) Prokov'yev in 1943. The Il-2KR was used for low level reconnaissance and artillery spotting, with the rear gun sometimes replaced by a camera for photo reconnaissance missions.

Nice work, as usual.   :salute

However, I forbid any more work on skins unless the work is for the P40's, Panzer IV's, or M3's.   ;)

Thanks guys.

That green does blend nicely with the MA terrain, shame about the big red glowing icon really.....

Next up is a bunch of winter and desert GV skins, for scenarios more than the MA. I'm starting with a winter camo Panzer IV F.

Beautiful and well-done as always, Greebo.

And Citabria I hope you find the time and inclination to re-do your Aleutian Tiger and Dallas Clinger P-40E skins.
