High res texture pack

The only available texture pack is for patch 2. I am running version 2.26 patch 3 with 1920X1200 & 1024 setting on a 24" monitor.
Will this texture pack help (or improve) my visibility?

Texture packs don't change with every patch. I'm not sure what you mean by visibility, texture packs improve the quality of the textures when you set textures to 1024 or higher. The texture pack on the home page matches the current game version.

I have some difficulty identifying cons, planes and gvs more than 1k+ out. For example, yesterday i was in a T34/85 defending. As i was rolling through the fields i was able to gain line of sight advantage on an incoming gv, i put a round right on him at about 2.2k, needless to say that hay cart never new what hit it.

It sounds like you are looking for higher resolution and you are already maxed for your monitor. All you can do to increase visibility is zoom in. Hi res textures improve how things look when you are close to them.

It won't improve visibility but I bet the hi-res pack would look sweet on your machine. As stated by the previous poster it will enhance the details of the planes & give some good eye candy.
