I would love to give it a shot.

I'm back to being excited after the last skin release  :x

I think I even have a template made for the A-5 that I made (panel, rivets, primer, etc) that I never got around to painting as the slots became full.

Things are a little crazy around here at this time of year, but I can start on it awhile.  I will not be able to give it my complete attention until after the new year.

Unless Fencer wants it, of course  :t

He's recruiting a qualified skinner to make it. The 190A-5 need its best pilot represented. You up to the challenge, Von? If your other skins are any indication, this would be a winner as well.

Speaking of great FW-190 pilots. I've always thought it was a shame this man's bird isn;t represented.

Personally, i'd like to see Otto Kittel, Erich Rudorffer. Dont we have Nowotny winter skin? and a Nowotny 109?  Im sure someone will come along and correct me or tell me skin one myself.

Actually we have 190A-5s for both Kittel and Rudorffer.
The all white 190 is "Black 1" flown by Kittel of 2./Jg54. Nowotny's would have been "White 8" at this time, 1./Jg54.
The other winter A-5 is "Yellow 2" flown by Heinrich Sterr of 6./Jg54. Nowotny's would have been "White 10" again of 1./Jg54.
Rudorffer's A-5 is 6./Jg2  "Yellow 1"

So yes Major Nowotny is represented by 2 109s and a 262, but the 190 is the plane that Nowotny gained notoriety in. The A-5 in the original post is notable because it's the plane that Nowotny flew when he became the first pilot to score 250 enemy kills.

Nowi had white numbers during that time, he flew White 8 and White 4 with all white skin.

Von, if you want it it is yours. I just want a good skinner to tackle it. Nowi deserves our finest efforts. I'll have a beer request for you soon as well :)

Looking for my template  :aok

I cannot promise that it will be soon, however.  If someone else wants to do it that can deliver it faster than I, they are welcome to it.

What does the upper wing surface look like?  From the photod and 1 of the profiles, the upper surface looks to be grey, but the other profile makes it look green (which makes more sense to me).

The last color profile really shows effective use of a glare/shadow along the rivet lines showing the uneven skin surface.

I was wondering the same thing.

RLM specs for the time frame would have called for RLM 70/71 upper camo with RLM 65 undersurface, but this doesn't really seem to match the color profiles here.  The profile paintings could be wrong, however.
