I wouldn't want to drive a car that everyone who saw it would say it looks like I am driving the Batmobile.
i thought that was the batmobile until i read the quote.

nope. it's something that no one normal will ever be able to buy, built to try to take the top speed record from bugatti, which it did for a short while. bugatti didn't waste any time taking it back.

guess it says a lot for chevy that they can't match a vw, huh?  :devil :uhoh

While it may be fun to drive and have lots of power....Fords Quality control just sucks.

Take for example a 2007 Mustang GT Convertibe.

4 years old.... Babied and never driven in bad weather total of  36,000 miles.

Replace Brakes all the way around "Rotors Warped"
Replace BOTH lower control arms.
Replace COMPLETE Air Bag system (4 trips back to dealership over 4 years)

and for the Cherry on top of the Schiesse Pie!   Replace the Convertible Top at Customers Expense because of a faulty Window seal.

And then top that....return the vehicle with gallons of water in the back seat...and destroyed Sub-Woofers on the Shaker 500 Stereo System....  Oh ... you want THAT fixed?  That will cost another $1200.

There you have it....  At Ford...Quality is job NONE!

Toyota....here I come!

bizarre

I also own a 2000 6 banger convertible that's had pretty much standard maintenance for 130 k miles.  I've only had to replace a power window unit and replace the clutch (thanks dear ex ... choke on something).  It does seem to eat tires but other than that... no problems

and.. I'll refer you all to my first post this thread.. still going ;)

it wouldn't be the two rear tires that keep getting eaten, would it?

Ford has canceled production on the 2011 Mustang, and will instead release a line of fuel-efficient vehicles in an effort to appeal to boring old Americans.
It's a shame you're joking. I could actually get behind this.

well thats really kind of sad. if you build a car to break the speed record, wouldnt you also want to sell it? i mean, just think of all the millionaires that would love one of those.

My brother owns a 2007 Mustang and over the last year it has been on the shop 4 times. Must have been something about the 2007 models that made them a POS.
