I do remember the bug back in the day where you shoot down one bomber and the rest crash into a mountain and "Bug out" causing you to land some 100 kills over it lol..

I was "accused" of cheating once caused of it.
A guy shot my plane down, i bailed at the same moment my plane crashed into the ground. He got the kill and i landed my kills. I guess it's a bug.

I've never seen it happen outside of a plane with a gunner chair...  but I've had this happen to me when I was my own gunner (not a gunner observer, but gunning for myself) and was shot down while in the gunners position.  It towered me and said I landed kills, when in actuality I blew up.  Never got any response on my bug report:

I've had the same thing happen to me. Shot down, bailed as I hit. Landed 2 kills.

Bug.

Doens't happen too often.
