it might have been really dont know sincei never had a reason to pay attention... 50 was just sticking out in my head as the required time.

Sounds like you're having a blast! Approaches are fun, they were my favorite part of IFR training. Have you done any approaches in actual yet? Those are great, and way different than the hood.



It's 40 hours part 61 for PP, and 250 for comm. You also need to have 50 PIC cross country for IFR (although I'm not sure thats part 61 specific)

Yes the 50 cc is part 61 specific and just to clarify it 250 total not 250 torwards comm training.

And yes, I did 2 localizers, 2 vors and 1 ils in actual that day.

Monday I have 3 blocks total and will be Doin the same approaches and then will shoot a couple ils approaches down at pittsburgh intl.
