Not that I'm advocating night, but the Germans did use some day fighters at night.  FW-190s using Wilde Sau (Wild Boar)
tactics is one notable example.

So did the Allies since for the most part when the war started there weren't any dedicated night fighters and day fighters were pressed into service in that role.  As the war dragged on then you started to see specialized planes and units solely dedicated to night fighting.

I'm sure if we had specialised night fighters, most people would welcome back night fighting.
But i think all this will fall on deaf ears at HTC HQ.. seem to me they are more interested in making game more nintendo every update..
THe numbers seem to have fallen over last 12 months, and it seems to be a lot of the old guard who are quitting. i know we're in economic meltdown and money is tight. but come on HTC its game play most want not more hanger queens and eye candy..

I love this game, been playing since 2001, its my calm down hour or so a day..

Merry Christmas to one and all..

Years back we setup night in the H2H arenas. Wa fun for a short time.

To test yourself... turn off all icons and fly a bit. Night is a bit harder to see the planes than just flying with no icons but if you like that then night might be for you.

we had a week in the ava, on rangers awesome twin rivers map. we had night for 5 minutes at a time every hour or two. while crazy hard, it was also a friggin blast. and no, i didn't adjust my gamma. i've got some screenshots from one of my flights.

I had my Canyon terrain up last night...a couple guys stopped by and were surprised that you could actually see quite well. As I said before, it all depends on the colors and intensity of light you choose for your arena settings. I'll put up another nighttime arena sometime, and will probably advertise it a bit more ahead of time. I'm not adverse to just having guys pop in to ask questions on set-up or just have them fly around a bit and then leave.
