Special Events experience today
« on: December 18, 2011, 07:30:01 PM »
This was my first time getting in on one of these. And I just wanted to recommend trying them to guys that haven't. It was the best experience I have had with AH yet.

Took off with a flight of four other Jugs, escorting b-17's and 24's to simulate Beach Landing in Italy. The reduced Icon range made the realism skyrocket. My flight of Jugs ended up jumping around 10 F-190a8's and a decent fight ensued. It was nice to fly in formation and attack other flights of the same planes. Ie  Jugs Vs 190's.  The strategic parts were great as well.  Having goals to accomplish rather just a massive furball.  The setup  was the closest I think the game can get to actual WWII Combat in the skies.     Which ...... is  why I started playing to begin with.
Hope to make more !!!  Thanks guys   HUB    <S> :aok

You should talk to folks about FSO (Friday Squad Ops). It's a two-hour, single-life, squadron-based event that runs the first three Friday nights of each month. You need to fly with a registered squad to participate, so see if someone will invite you as a guest in their squad to see if it's for you. Squad affiliation in the SEA arenas do not affect your squad affiliation in the main arenas.

Check the FSO Forum or the ahevents.org website if you want more info.
