If the numbers are varying too far from 32765, when the stick is centered, it will never calibrate properly.

I'm going to get a new one then.  Thanks for your help.  :salute

Do you also lose calibration in Windows?

Yes.  I can tell because when I recalibrate in windows, the movement jumps from one corner to the other, then as I recalibrate the calibration pad moves smoothly again.

I'm not sure if it's necessary or not, but if I feel the need to recalibrate my flight gear in Windows, I make sure I've quit completely out of the game first. I'm of the mindset that any changes that Windows might make won't be seen by the game if it's already running. This way I ensure the game sees any changes as it loads up and looks for the hardware.

This is absolutely true.  If you are running the game and try to calibrate in Windows it is not going to work.  The game cannot be running when you are calibrating in Windows.

also, I would not put all my faith in to setting my power settings for my USB ports in the power plan adjustments

I would be more secure in my settings by going into Control Panel > device manager >  and scrolling down to the "universal serial bus controllers"  clicking it to expand this section then right clicking on the "USB Root Hub" listings and checking the Power Management tabs...... verify that each "USB ROOT HUB" listed  has nothing checked in any of the boxes under the Power Management tab

so that your USB ports are always "AWAKE"  and not going in to suspend mode.......  granted the Power Plan access should take care of it, this is just another way of making sure they are set to be "Always On"  in a more direct way.....

just a fail safe secondary backup checking to make sure they are set properly

hope this helps

Thanks... I checked them and the box is not checked on any of them.  :aok

Imadot's point about calibrating in windows before going into AH also seems to be a very good one.  I haven't lost my calibration so far today.  Now I calibrate in windows before going into AH, then calibrate in AH and have had no problems today.   :aok

This is interesting I have a logiteck 3d pro too, and have been having to recalibrate my stick every time i log in for the past couple of days, i haven't had this problem before.
