Undercarriage Key mapping - extra option
« on: December 29, 2011, 06:52:23 AM »

It would be great to have the option of an additional undercarriage up/ and down control using two separate key strokes.

Owners of controllers using TARGET software can then map the u/c function to a steady state toggle switch, and it will stay in phase during the game after crash/reset and operation whilst on ground.
The keystrokes could be Cntrl/shift, or Cntrl/Alt prefaced, as the keyboard G function need not be changed,

NB: The three position flap control switch on the HOTAS Warthog can be mapped in a similar way, as it has two keys Q & W to control the flaps.

Thanks HTC.  :joystick:

Would love this functionality on clipboard up / clipboard down as well.

Not to steal the topic, but how did you map the Warthog Flap control switch effectively, or are you saying it should similar to the suggestion you made for the gear?

While the Up/ MVR / Down may work for something as simple as a spitfire, it doesn't effectively work for a P-51.

It suits the way I use the flaps.

Flaps Up (UP) = Flaps up
First stage on switch (MVR) = 1 notch of flaps.
Full Flaps (DN) = Flaps fully down (All aircraft)

This is as much as I need for all aircraft.

I had a bit of trial & error to get the delays right in the chain to enable full transitions from fully down to fully up without erroneous behaviour.

All the best..!
