gif avatars
« on: January 04, 2012, 05:45:05 AM »
i downloaded an avatar in .gif format... i tried to load it... it said it was either too big or not an avatar... i resized it and re loaded it... and finally i did not get that msg again.  but it doesn't seem to have loaded it at all... why is that? am i still doing something wrong? or is it something on the bbs?

Looks like you have an avatar.  I am going to guess you got it figured out.

Your current avatar looks like a site moving with a plane in the distance.  Most of the time, changing an avatar requires a cache dump or refresh with your browser.  It all depends on what browser you are suing and how it is configured.  We have no control over that.

Firefox is notorious for agressive caching of WEB content.  Even when the file size changes they still use the cached version.
