Flight 19

Always a mystery, and yet probably a navigation error ending with a splash-in-to some very bad place.
Saw this on the fabulous youtube and thought I'd share:

2 things sort of stick out.
The first is instrumental failiure and why. Why did it repeat itself in the modern camera run?
The second is why Taylor did not head west. Bloody hell, you don't need a compass to find west in an afternoon.
Thoughts?
It was very interesting to carry out the flight trials at Rechlin with the Spitfire and the Hurricane. Both types are very simple to fly compared to our aircraft, and childishly easy to take-off and land. (Werner Mölders)
