Fancy mouse trouble again
« on: January 12, 2012, 02:35:44 PM »
When I put my computer to sleep, after waking it back up my mouse scroll is all jacked up.

It barely scrolls when I use the wheel and I have to spin the wheel much faster to get it to switch to freewheel from clickclick.

Any ideas on a solution aside from not putting my computer to sleep?  If I change the settings after waking it up I have the opposite problem after rebooting.
If I had a gun with 3 bullets and I was locked in a room with Bin Laden, Hitler, Saddam and Zipp...  I would shoot Zipp 3 times.

clean out the mouse wheel? could be a buildup of dirt/dust or whatever else might be in there.

It only happens when coming out of sleep mode, it happens every time it comes out of sleep mode.

As semp said most likely best solution is to turn it completely off. A reboot clears out the memory and some windows updates also require rebooting.

If you want a computer that works without regular reboots, get a mac instead.

So? If you had been actually using it most likely your memory would have been corrupted into a mess and you'd be forced to reboot.
