Wierdness in the MA last night...
« on: January 13, 2012, 12:42:43 PM »
Ok, so last night as I sat in the Tower at V65 I waited for the smoking hangars (cool band name huh lol) to stop smoking so I could prepare to Spawn and shoot down all those evil doers trying to grab the base. Well, suddenly the Goon showed up overhead and dropped its troops and I knew it was game over. Well, maybe 30 sec later I was expelled from the tower to the default AF you are sent to when a base is taken...the wierd thing was that right before being shipped off, those hangars were still smoking. When I clicked on the base due to a message in the text buffer, It said that Vehicles were enabled...??? So im assuming it was a glitch and said oh well, but just thought Id mention to see if anyone else noticed this.

Next, something that shouldn't happen so Im not gonna complain, but I had a B5N basically come at my Panzer on a very low, flat flight path so I gave it the whatfor and hit it right in the wing...as I start patting myself on the back I notice that not only is the B5N's wing still there, there is not a thing wrong with it...? Have a nice day  :aok

Something that makes me laugh. Take a M4/75  ,and shoot a plane in the nose with your main gun. Watch him fly off with engine oil hit.

Last night there was a point where my fellow Pigs and I were compairing notes on the fact that we were lighting cons up at close range and nothing happening after the hit sprite light show. Later we would get kill messages or assist messages or nothing.

I minimised the game and ran PingPlotter. From my side the first hop out of california and the first hop in texas were having problems. No internet game can fix that. Some nights are good some nights are bad becasue of the internet. Eventualy the connection issue discoed my game.

For about 6 months that first texas hop out of california has been crappy. Last night was the first time in awhile the SBC last hop out of california was having problems.

Other night I shot certain experten down and the very next sortie he made me go poof. "you've been shot down by ( *Y  *)." Host lost connection. Out of my drunken Tebow, victory celebration night over those snivelling Steelers. I almost cried " you wizard haxxor you."

Watching ch200 the past few nights I can see I'm not the only  one experiencing being booted from game straight after being killed. What's up with that?     Hopefully I get a witty reply other than derrrr, use HE.

Buff tailgun position will still crash game completely. I'm guessing it will finally be fixed with next release.

Film would help here, but I'm assuming you shot him with an AP round?

That may be the case...I have been for the most part very good using up HE rounds when firing at low flying aircraft...but wouldn't you think that even an AP round right into the wingroot would rip that section from front to back and cause the wing to collapse? Oh, lol, and for some reason my Film viewer has not worked since like late 2008 lol.

Are you certain you hit him with an ap round?  I.e you were not firing your coax at the same time, and assumed it hit?  I have never hit an aircraft with a tank round and had it continue flying.  I have gotten critical hits with the coax while firing the main, but missing the main, the timing making me think at first I got him.

If you did, this must be a crazy fluke, like a possible, but one in a million...

I hit two 190s that were strafing me in a m4 (75mm) and I put a hit into the spinner of both planes.

It was HE ammo since I had taken the m4 to the city to kill some trains and buildings.

One didn't even smoke and the other started smoking, strafed me a few more times, and flew home out of sight for another 5 minutes before I got a kill message.

I'm also wondering why I can put 270 38mm field gun rounds into a wirb. from 400 yards away and he drives off undamaged while I can down a M4 who's frontal armor is facing me with only about 40 rounds from 1400 yards.

Its all about how "in" you are to Hitech and if you pay extra each month for the special coding that allows you extra armor.  :aok

If you really want specifics, post a video and it will be dissected.  Otherwise....

I've been experiencing some hardcore lagspikes for about the past week or so, no discos yet, but it gets annoying.  Also experiencing the lighting up a con w/ no assist/kill message.
