I can hear it now - my fellow practically-unlimited perkateers and I will spread mines all around a spawn and giggle when they spawn on top of them...

Oh the whining it will ensue

no they will disappear the moment you tower out and up another airplane.  we had this before where people would up dozens of m3's at a base and let the troops run.  we would see hundreds.  now the game is codes so the moment you bail/auger/die/crash and up another airplane all bombs/troops/rockets will disappear.  that's how we like it.  so no mines for 45 minutes. unless you sit nearby for that long.

If you propose to make the mine visible...doesn't that entirely defeat the purpose of a mine?

And if it IS invisible, who wants to get killed (in a game) when they have zero control over the matter.

This just does not make for a fun time in AH

I say it shouldn't kill you, just kill engine/track(s)

yes that would be very good , also i was thinking if the player could hit enter on keyboard and bail the gv then go to a certain part of the gv , say the rear of gv in troop mode , with a repair point on the gv and once you reach that point it repairs the gv , like the rearm point on airfields timed , this would simulate putting a new link on the track , whilst you outside the gv you of course easy fodder for low calibre weapons , and if killed in this mode player loses his gv , and to renter the gv you go into gv at entry point and hit another asigned key    :aok

Oh no... he's discovered italic font...

If you ran over a mine, it would bust up more than just one or two links, it would probably really screw up at least two of the wheels.

no the concept of getting out the vehicle to repair it , is a pretty cool idea and ive checked no one  has thought of it before , how many times have you been stuck just out side spawn with a heap of kills , and been tracked , and screaming for supllies , makes good sence to repair the track to get back to spawn point

I have repaired just broken track dozens and dozens of times taking from 2 to 4 hours many times more to repair a broken track. An repairing a shermans track is a pain in the ass. Now if you hit a mine you can be down for days.
