I did slot racing for awhile. each lane is hooked to a computer and is IDed by color.
You run Q laps 1st to get a driver order, each week a different lane is used. So
you have track records for Q for each lane. Tracks are usually 10 lanes.
After qual the drivers pick their starting lane for their main event, of
course fastest Q picks 1st.
You name is put in the computer for that lane/color for start of the race. The race
is for like 4 mins. After the 4 mins you move to the next lane and run another 4 mins,
you run all 10 lanes in a race session. The computer counts laps automatically for every driver.
After the last race in the main event, the most laps completed over all wins.
This racing is hard, you have to run basically 10 lanes @ max speed u can do. BIG fun though.
You have extra people around to corner marshal for car who crash or jump off track.
