The outline appears when they're on the other side of the clouds, from what I saw.  I think if the plane was on the same side of the cloud as me, they looked correct.

Not quite. I intercepted three flights of B29s tonight and all of the icons were a darker gray box with the standard red text. I thought for a minute there was some new padlock view but it was on all of them at once.

Yup... noticed the same thing.  When I was below the clouds, everyone elses icon looks fine.  But above them, you get the "blocky" effect.  Seems like a transparency issue.

Actually no you intercepted three Mossie bombers that had no guns to defend themselves.  The B29's with the 20mm guns you left alone!  :headscratch:

No you ran to the B29s which couldnt hit squat!  :D I intercepted all of you I just chose (wisely) not to attack B29s at 30k with a P-51.

I never said I wouldn't do the same.. just saying don't attack 3 unarmed planes and then come on here bragging about going up against B29's.  By the way I saw you land three kills - all three being Mossie bombers.  You never even shot at the B29's!  :lol

I wasnt bragging. Thats your interpretation. I have attacked many many B29 formations and dont even think Im afraid to do it again. The Moss was stirring it up bigtime and making full use of the formations ability to string out and warp together. It just didnt save him.

Now if I had been in a 152 the B29s would have been my primary focus. As it was I dont think any survived anyway.

Same here on my rig, it's some display bug and a distraction if you do any flying above ~15k.  I hope it quickly gets fixed, one of those anoying ugly bugs that doesn't break anyhting, just looks bad (and slightly annoying/highly-noticable because it wasn't an issue before).

I ahve some SS at home I can add if needed.  It apears the transparency through the text blocking in combination with the ~15k cloud layer deck in the imediate background is where the problem is at.

Edit:  NM, saw there was a patch for it today.

Someone tested that again today. HQ was back up before the 29s were one sector out.

Next time I will up a 152 and you wont all land!  :aok
