It defeats the point of using it altogether... Instead, I 'll keep using the macro on my keyboard, single action is much better..

Why not use the APU switch as the start engine switch? The APU is really only necessary in modern aircraft sims.

Why not use the coding in target to do it ?  Did that not work ?

I use the APU start to control all LED's off/on.

I have just been playing around with the scripting in TARGET. Otherwise the GUI programming side in TARGET sucks monkey balls. To me it isn't as user friendly as FOXY was and I sorta wish I could use FOXY for the Warthog or at least have a way to import FOXY files from Cougars over to the Warthog but alas that isn't ever going to happen.

The programming in CH was absolutely the best, compared to Thrustmaster it is practically godlike.

The way I set up my throttle quadrant is this:

left throttle is set up for RPM control
right throttle is set up for Manifold control

Pointer finger hat set to flaps up/down, rudder trim left/right
Pinky finger button set to check-6
Toggle switch on the left throttle is set to start/stop film recording.

Thumb hat depress set to WEP
Speed Brake switch set to dive brakes in the forward position, and aft (put it forward to extend, and when you're done using them, just pull it back and it snaps into the neutral position after retracting)

Boat and china hat switches I haven't found a use for yet.

Fuel flow switches I don't use.

Engine 1 switch is Engine start/stop assigned to the forward position, AND the back position.

Engine 2 switch I have set to landing gears in the same way.

This way, when you start the engine or raise your landing gears, it is in the forward position, which then retracts automatically to neutral.  When it's time to shut the engine down, or lower the landing gear, switches down feels a lot more natural.

Throttle friction wheel is set to elevator trim.

LG SIL is set to hook

AutoPilot switch- Path position is auto-level, Alt position is auto-climb, and engage/disengage is set to enable/disable combat trim.

EAC is set to pause tracker (for pausing trackIR), RDR ALTIM is set to center tracker (for TrackIR)

----------

The stick

Trim hat I have set to nose down/up, aileron left/right.

Target Management Hat I have set to views (acts as a POV switch, and keeps my thumb from being way out of position in hard fights)- forward is set to the position as up and forward as possible while still able to see the gunsite pipper for deflection shots.

Weapon Release Button is set to pickle bombs/rockets.

Master Mode button set to select secondary

trigger- 1st stage- primary bank 2nd stage- fire all guns (this is broken, still waiting on HTC to fix it.  It fires prim and secondary weapons, no matter what's selected- it seems like it should be set to simply fire all the guns on the airplane)

Data Management Hat I haven't used yet.

Countermeasures hat- Forward - vox com channel, back- range channel, right- clipboard, depress- Ventrillo vox

Pinky button- zoom

Pinkly switch- look up (use in conjunction with the TMS for up+view).

Excellent job Rebel, I will print your post out and gander over it - I have everything almost close to this in my setup, except for the secondary throttle, which I am idiotwise using as my rudders until my pedals arrive.

You may want to consider using the boat switch or the microstick for that, bro.  That way, you can adjust throttle as well as use your rudders at the same time without difficulty.

I will not disagree with the statemwnt about CH software with the current TM software. However FOXY was hands down better than CH anyday of the week.
