it will happen when the cockpit for the yak-9s are updated probably. . . but in all honesty there is little the 3 can do that the 9 can't.

A Yak-3 will be nice eventualy, but I don't think it'll replace the Yak-9's popularity in the MAs.

I would say the yak 9u stability at slow speed is more like a spit 14,  squirrelly and difficult, whereas the yak 3 would be like the spit 9.   A treat and should hold all of the cards against something like a 109k4 except overall speed/power.  

The difference is night and day imo.

Much  for the Yak-3. It was a hugely popular fighter, respected by the LW. And it would throw a bone to the Free French.

I agree, but you're highlighting my point: those who fight in a style suited to the Yak-9 will not change to the Yak-3, not at all.  You might get some brewster, spit and other kite flyers to wing up in them for some knife fights at low speed and doing their turny-birdy thing.  But still, as far as knife-fighters go, in AH I'm pretty sure it won't be the best or anything game changing, but that is honestly not my forte.

No lie, last night i had a dream i opened up the aircraft tab and the Yak-3 was there but it was blotted out in RED like the Me-163 is on bases it is un-useable at. " i said when did we get the 3!???" and no one said anything back on vent. then sadly i woke up.
