Basically why I left EvE was because in all PvP it came down to gaming the game, and I'm no fan of using bug and lag exploits to win the day. Aces High is superior to EvE in the PvP aspect because here it takes true skill whereas in EvE all you do is point and click. There is no comparison really.
The gaming-the-game aspects are shrinking as client improvements are getting made. Believe it or not, CCP is actually doing some work these days, especially with the recent riots that went on when they stated they were going to stop developing everything for 18 months in order to make the walking-in-stations thing...a few hundred people spent days shooting the statue outside the Jita 4-4 station and a mass-unsubscribe took place, so they decided to actually give us what we want for once.

Thus the recent expansion adding new BCs and rebalancing hybrid weapons, along with a patchnotes list taller than me.
Fleet warfare involves no skill if you fly DPS, sure. Small gang and solo work, and "specialized" work like scouting, logistics, and recon piloting actually require some skill and maneuvering. It's hard for me to find that sort of thing sometimes, though, belonging to such a large and "hardcore" alliance.
