Arena closing notice
« on: February 05, 2012, 10:43:12 AM »
:bhead I am relatively new to this great game, but I have noticed something that someone needs to pay attention to! When "skuzzy" or other Aces High officials give a notice for arena closing for updates or other improvements, we always get a 15 to 20 minute warning. This allows everyone to RTB with their kills or damage points and everything seems to be fair for everyone. BUT, when one country wins the war, we only get 4 minutes warning! Some how that doesn't seem fair to me as a lot of times I have seen people with a 6 or 8 minute RTB time and they lose their kills or damage points, because they don't have time to get to a "friendly" base.  Maybe there is a reason for the short notice, but can't for the love of me, figure out why the short time frame! I would love to hear the reasoning behind this, that which seems to be unfair to me. Anybody have an idea?

I'm not 100% sure but I think the stats are updated immediately. What ever kills players had at the moment of war win is allocated.

If you're in the air when the server resets, it is as if your flight never took place.

earl,

Then I can assume that you weren't here when the maps would immediately revert to whatever their original field ownership was.  So, still good of you to notice, but things have been far worse.  Me personally, even 4 minutes can seem like an eternity, especially for defenders who just had their base taken from beneath them and have nowhere to land.

If you're in flight when the arena resets after the map is won, your flight is counted as though you landed the flight successfully.

There is a clipboard map that tracks real time progress of the war and can show you clearly how close the war is to being won, where the fight is, and how imminent the arena reset will be.

Being new, sometimes people overlook the tools that are already in place for the players to manage their game.  Hope this helps.

From what I remember, the flight isn't recorded at all. It is as if it never happened.

This is what I remember as well.  I don't think AKAK is right.

Akak is wrong. I was rtb last month with a B29 and about ten million points when the host reset. Flight never happened according to the game.

I don't care about how many kills I can get or what my score is. I just like having fun. So what if one sortie is cut short by a war win, log back on and re-up and continue the fight.  :aok
