No, it is a fair statement.
In order to do this right, we need to have an applet that will enable users to enter their data and it update automatically. That is beyond my coding ability, so I have been hunting for help. Without this applet I would have to handle all the updates manually. This would leave me with time to do nothing else, and I'm not willing to commit to that for understandable reasons.

I have contacted 3 different people on this issue (programmers). I have had a nibble or two. I also want to be very certain HTC doesn't have plans for H2H ladders of their own that would directly conflict.
I did finally get my ISP to allow me to use cgi scripting, so I at least have the ability to host a script if one becomes available. I am hopeful that something will happen soon. If anyone can code such an applet, I would be most appreciative.
Something we can do in the interim is have a simple tournament. If you guys are interested, I will handle that manually. Here's how it would work:
- you e-mail me
- I pair all entries in the order I receive them
- I post the pairs on my site
- you fly the person you are paired with, best of 5
- you report results here
- I update page daily
Anyone not dueling within 3 days of posting will be considered forfeited (unless I am contacted with reason for delay).
ROE
- Players decide plane, but must agree. They do not have to be similar. fuel also is up to the pilot (you don't have to announce). Remember the fuel multiplyer!
- Merge level at whatever alt is agreed upon. If you are both weed-whackers, have at it. Most will select an alt that will allow a bit of room. Wings are level and merge is 180 degree opposite headings.
- While you can extend, flying out of sector is considered a forfeit. There is no reason to go any further.
- Landing for any reason other than replaning after fight is considered a forfeit- in other words, the first guy to stop flying loses (and no, floating a chute to earth is not flying!).
- Witnesses are very desireable when possible to settle disputes.
- All duels are to be held in the SEA. This means fuel, ammo, loadout, etc will matter.

How does this sound?
