I'm just filling out my first one, I've been self-employed for a while, came here looking for tips/advice from those with experience. Any idas?

Don't add the hours of combat experience you have gained in here.  That's not a good idea at all  :salute :D

Yes, may be too young to be fussing with such things.  But, not too young to become a master of your resume.

Best of luck  :salute

Quite true, hoping it might put me in a bit of a better light than simply sending in an application. :salute

Thanks for the help :)

HAHAHAHAHA

Yeah, not math for me. I can add mulitply divide and subtract. That's about it :uhoh

A work year is generally considered to be 2000 hours.  I somewhat doubt that you can clock the 40000 hours that you are claiming.  Even if you spent 12 hours a day playing your musical instruments, it would still take you a little over nine years to clock 40000 hours.

You're claiming 12 hours a day every day 365 days a year since you were about 6 years old.

If I were you, I'd pay a little closer attention in math class.

As a 15 year old, claiming 20 years of experience is simply going to get people to laugh at you and not take you seriously.

Go to the near college and they have specialist that will help you on that for free.

I'm not really anywhere near a college, and I figured I could save a little bit of time by asking here and from my friends/family instead of getting up off my lazy arse and biking over to the college :D

I've had 10 years of instruction on the violin, 4 on the viola, 3 each on trombone, tuba, bagpipes, and 1 each on trumpet and guitar

10+4+3+3+3+1+1=25.

25years of experience altogether. I didn't say I had actually PLAYED them, I just had the experience. Much like saying "I've got 20 years of experience playing football" and "I've spent 20 years playing football"

I should probably have made myself more clear though, sorry.

Well, I started playing the trumpet in 5th grade...  Let's see, that was like 1980ish...  I can still play the trumpet, but I wouldn't dare claim that I had 32 years of experience.  You know what, if you as a 15 year old kid, wants to walk into a job interview and claim that you have 20 years experience as a musician, go right ahead and see how far you get.

You asked for advice.  It has been given.  It is up to you to make use of it or not.

Must be nice to be young and completely ignorant to the ways of the world still.

On the brightside you'll give someone a laugh.
