Dual monitors, Windows 7, and HDMI

Google doesn't really give me the answer I need but I'd like to split my HDMI out from my comp to two identical monitors (ya ya I used to have them both hooked up it's a long story)

Anybody know if it's possible to split the HDMI signal out of the one 'out' port on my comp and use two screens that way or am I going to have to live with the VGA and the crud resolution on monitor 2?

Yes, just get yourself HDMI splitter (you'll have same pic on both monitors tho)

It works, you just don't want to have it that way  ;)

You'll have to replace your graphic card with one having two DVI/HDMI outputs

Grrr... Guess I'll just go the HDMI on one and DVI to VGA on the other route again.

Huh? So do you have HDMI and DVI outputs in your vidcard? If so, get a DVI to HDMI adapter for the other route.

The only difference between DVI and HDMI is audio through the HDMI. If a difference occurs then its a matter of the video card or monitor processing the signal differently. You may find that DVI is actually better on your hardware.
