Here's something I quickly whipped up a little while ago to show the colors I came up with for custom arenas, or any arena where the staff is allowed to change colors.

Arena Colors Test
My Current Rig:
GigaByte GA-X99-UD4 Mobo w/ 16Gb RAM
Intel i7 5820k, Win7 64-bit
NVidia GTX 970 4Gb ACX 2.0
Track IR, CH Fighterstick, CH Pro Throttle, CH Pro Pedals

They found the missing stars, if that's what you mean.

The ability to change the sky, cloud and sun colors for dusk/dawn has been available for a long time; it's just that they are not changing the colors in the main arenas. We've done it in the SEA for events, and I regularly do it in custom arenas that I've spawned up.

Any chance the primary arena colors have been chosen to have the greatest chance of promoting stability across many different PC's?

I don't think the actual colors affect stability much...the number of colors is the same, just the color of the colors ( ) is different. It might be more for gameplay since custom color palettes many times makes it necessary to adjust icon colors and if done poorly can really affect the way an arena looks. I know there are certain maps that must have used non-default color schemes (whether it's the terrain or the arena colors) that force me to change friendly icon colors so I can actually see them.

There was an FSO here maybe a year or so back.  Takeoff was at 5:00AM or so, so we were treated to a beautify sunrise.  I forget the exact event, but it was great.

Yep, I remember it...was zero-dark-thirty while we waited for the event to start; then the sun came up and everyone's jaw dropped.  :aok

Here are a couple of screenshot thumbnails (clickable) from the arena I had up tonight...
