I think I made it clear that I was not attempting to outsmart you. I made that rather clear in the preceding part of the sentence. I tried to load my language with as much jargon as I could in the hope that you'd notice how difficult it is to read, and that an accident of my upbringing was the only reason I knew it. No ulterior motive there, just proving a point. I admit that military jargon was a poor choice in retrospect. Now, if you want jargon that I'm almost certain you can't read, then here:
"On the rigging boat, make fast your boomvang!"
"Haul away peak!"
"Balantine that loose sheet!"
If it were your first time sailing, and I laughed at you for not understanding, it would be rude. The same applies here. The term LZ does not immediately connote Landing Zone, to the unacquianted, it could as well just be an arbitrary designation like the Omaha in Omaha beach.

Funny thing is that I have spent a lot of time on a sailboat. I get what you are trying to say. But the first time I was working on a sailboat that is exactly what the captain did. He only used the specific words of each object or equipment that way we good get it so that example doesn't work for my experience. However I will say again that I do understand and agree with your statement in general.
The only thing is no one wants to hear you say it here. I know that seems offensive but seriously dude keep it to yourself. Stop taking offense to everything people write on this board, in this case defending people who you will never meet. Remember that barely anyone is trying to specifically offend anyone else when they post.
