1. B-25J - It'd be real nice to have a level-bombing B-25 that is half-survivable in the MA. The B-25H has no bombsight, so you have to get in the weeds with the things you want to kill, exposing yourself to greater danger from ground fire, vehicles, and fighters. The B-25C lacks the BIG GUN that the H has, as well as the added defensive guns, but gives you the level-bombing capability. However, if a fighter even smells your B-25C you are most likely going to die. The J has level bombing abilities with much better defensive guns than the C, and still has pretty good performance as a strafer. The B-25J could also have a single torpedo loadout and rocket racks, to enhance the B-25's ground attack repertoire, and keep the formation option.
2. PBY-5A/6A - Yes, picking up downed pilots would be fun for some. No, I don't think the PBY should be added with that in mind. As much as I would want to fly the rescue mission, I wouldn't want to be the guy floating in the drink for an hour so the Catalina could come get me. It'd be a neat addon for ports as you could make them amphibious and have a new target (Seaplane Hangar) to bomb. Map the floats to the tailhook function, keep the gear for field landings. It's slow, but can carry 4000 lbs worth of bombs or torpedoes, and it's got several defensive guns - 5A or 6A just depends on whether you want twin .30s or twin .50s in the nose. If you still object to this plane, just remember we got the Fieseler Storch first. It opens the door for future expansion with seaplanes and naval operations - AI convoys to attack, the long-awaited submarines, etc.
3. Fw-200 - Lotta range and a good-sized payload. It could be the champ carrier-killer, and it could pull double-duty as an Axis troop transport. We need more Axis bombers anyway, this one is on the slow side, but fairly well-defended.
4. Beaufighter - Plenty of people clamoring for this one, and I'm on board.
5. He-111 - Again, we need more Axis bombers and this one is a staple. It served pretty much throughout the war (at least on the eastern front) and would be a great addition for early war scenarios. The H-6 model would be on the slow side, but again pretty well-defended and with a 4400 lb bomb load.
Narrowed it to top five, otherwise I'd be listing planes all day. That's all I've got. Flame on.
