Setting up crossfire with different ati cards
«

Like the title says, I have two different ATI cards 6750 and a 6850. I want to set them up in crossfire, will this create problems? I will also be changing out the power supply and adding 4 more gigs of ram (total of 8 gig).
Here is the general info on the system:
M4A78 Plus asus mb
Amd phenom II x3 (the tri core)
Installing an 850 watt power supply
Please let me know, thanks.

In previous ATI drivers, you were able to mix different ATI cards through Crossfire as long as both cards were Crossfire compatible. You should be able to do it but you're not going to get the performance by mixing a lower end card with a higher end card that you think you'll be getting.

That is what I was affraid of, been doing some research also, found they are not compatible, the have to be the same generation, i.e. 6850&6870 but not 6750 & 6850.
Thanks for the insight AKAK. I will get the right card tomorrow.
