The time is upon us! Many have already answered the call of our Fatherland, and have been fighting for more than five years. Now as 1944 draws to a close, we stand on the Rhine river, not poised for a great sweep through France, but waiting to hold back the steel tide of the Allied advance. In the east we held firm at Kharkov, not once but twice, and twice we smashed the Red Army! We have held the Allies in Italy since 1943!
Lesser men than you have done far more. Lesser men than you have paid the ultimate price to save friends and comrades! Lesser men than you have died better deaths than you can even hope for, and died as heroes! Now will you cower as those men continue to give their blood for the Fatherland? Will you continue to hide behind them, as they move heaven and earth, fighting with ever ounce of strength to hold the line? Or will you answer the call? Step forward, and become great heroes as those before you have done!
Fighting such as this comes seldom, and shapes the course of history for the next thousand years. While outnumbered, we are not outfought. We are getting new weapons into service, weapons that can change the course of even this titanic struggle. Some of you will be flying the worlds first jet figher, the Messerschmitt Me-262 schwalbe. And since battles are not won in the air alone, we also have allocated several Panther tank regiments for the upcoming battle, as well as several Tiger I heavy tank battalions.
These weapons are far superior to anything the allies have. While their fighters run as they will, they cannot escape our 262's. While their slow, lumbering bombers pay a terrible price in blood for each minute they spend over our skys, ours dart in and deliver a punishing blow, and then disappear like a shadow before their fighters even reach altitude. While their tanks bounce rounds uncounted off of our Panzer's steel hides, ours reach out to strike theirs at a range from which they cannot hope to respond. But we need men to fight, we need men to use these weapons, we need brave men to lead our armies to victory!
