bar dar not showing

Might already be reported, but I was at an air base which was flashing.  No bar dar so I flew all around the base looking for an NOE aeroplane, found none.  I exited AH... went to the film viewer to see why the base was flashing since there were no vehicle spawns to that base.  There was a formation of B17s heading to the base at 25k.   Why would they not show up on bar dar?

The same reason your 163 didn't show up on dar bar until I could hear the engine at 34k feet.

Last night went to a sector that had a 1 con bar in it.  I was cruising at 15k and came across 8 contacts that were at 25k.

After a minute of me flying underneath them, the sectors bar finally moved up to where it should be, but by this time they were already 3/4 the way across the sector.  I know the bars are on a fairly slow refresh, but that seems a bit excessive...

Had the same thing happen to me.  Seems to be most frequent when there are lots of folks on...

Is this common for the original poster to film, exit game, view film, re-enter arena, and go after cons he couldn't find on his own but rather was able to find by viewing the film?

Neg, did it because the situation made no sense.  No gv spawn, no air cons, I circled the base looking for an noe aeroplane and there were none.

Don't know how true it is but I heard that above a certain altitude your dar bar does not show.

If that was true than dar bar would be completely useless. Most of the time it will take you less then 10min to fly though a sector. The sector is 25sm, in order for you to pass it in 10min you need to be moving 150mph, most of the aircraft in AH fly a lot faster than that.
