If you are fairly confident you know how to move files and save them, I have a suggestion to try.
This will not involve a complete re install...... yet. Save all of your configuration and setting files somewhere safe, where you know that you can retrieve them later. Then remove the current AH file that should reset your settings to default. I will check, but there used to be a file called video8.cfg or something like that. That is the file that I would have to remove and then reload AH to reset my settings to default.
My computer used to do the same thing a while back, but it was because of a bad setting

and marginal video card overclocked I believe.
PS I just looked and there is an entire folder now in the Aces High folder called "settings". Copy that folder and save it somewhere safe first. Then you can experiment to see if removing the video8.cfg folder and running the game will stop the computer crashes. Also if you manually overclocked your video card, I would start there first by returning it to default settings. Anyhow, good luck and hope some of this is helpful.
