I read the OP's topic clearly.  He seems to be upset that people are using the MA like it was intended; take bases through air and ground "warfare" thus gaining bases to the point that one particular country has 90% of their bases and at least 20% of each of the other countries.

The "win teh warz" comment is clearly saying that those players who are using the MA as previously stated are wrong and should be punished because he didn't get to play on his favorite map.

I agree with the OP that some maps are more fun to play on than others.  If I don't like it, I'll either join missions in hopes that the aforementioned base percentages can be reached to hopefully gain a better map, go check out current happenings in the SEA, check out the other arenas, or (wait this is a new one for everyone) go out and get some fresh air.

This seems like a very unlikely wish.  It goes against the basis for the main arenas.  If a country manages to team together and win the map (even if a country different than my own) kudos to them.  I may get a bit upset but I'll get over it.

caldera I totally agree with you.  but with one addition.  if the map resets then perks get awarded only the first time.  otherwise they will keep rolling the map over and over for an ever bigger bonus.

I think we may all have "favourite" maps but this should not influence land grab IMO.

If a  map is gonna get rolled then so beit IMO............ far to much side balancing / ENY stuff in place already.

A side will win the "war" and all to the good. The aspect of most concern to me is the quality of game play during the conflict.

Not quite what I'm getting at.  I just want to have a chance to play on my favorite map, instead of it being rotated out in a few hours.  You could still win your war, but any win inside of 24 hours would keep the same map.  Why is that bad, when some maps lag around so long?  I like the "win teh warz" people, because my enjoyment in this game revolves around base defense.  I really don't care how many bases you take or wars you win.  I want a chance to fight in those canyons.

BTW, the game is intended to promote combat.  Winning the war is just a combat setting, not the main point of the game.

Seems reasonable.............

The basis for the main arenas is combat. Taking bases is one mechanism given to us to generate combat. To add variety for all of us, HTC has several maps available and happened to use the "win the war" criteria as the trigger to give us a new map. They could have just as easily left the map in place and reset the base ownership to default and let us play the map again, until the next day when they would force a map change.

And what if we only had one map? We wouldn't be having this discussion.
