So basically nothing to far differ then the Yak-9 overall except throttle back a tab and since its the same gun package you basically have a Yak-3.
Yak-3 would be more agile than the Yak-9 and it would have a far, far higher acceleration than a throttled back Yak-9U.

Basicly it would be just a slightly peppier yak-9. Probably something on the order of the 190A-8 (Yak-9) compared to the A5 (Yak-3).

Infact, thats actually a pretty good comparison, since the A5 is faster at low alt as well.

And Karnak, they announced the B-29 in mid-late January(?), and it was released sometime around june. Thats around 5-6 months.

Granted the B-29 probably had less things infront of it on the list, but they also made it sound as if they were starting almost from scratch ("we are starting work on the B-29"). It was also larger, as you said. But with the Me-410, they just asked us what we wanted next. This could mean they had no work on it done, a decent start, or nothing at all. However its smaller, and closer to the Bf-110. However (if they want to do it right), they'll have to also develop the new Mk 103 30mm.

Probably about the same time, I would guess.

Exactly how much acceleration are getting? and less turn radius? I voted on the Yak-3 but I have a keen mind to vote for Ki-43

The B-29 was announced as the winner of the poll on 11/10/2010 and version 2.23 with the B-29 was released on 2/22/2011, per the front page.  Three months, twelve days.

Why not have both? I don't get down playing the Yak-3 as just another variant. Should we just have a 109K and throttle back when we feel like flying a F?

A-8 is faster than A-5 on the deck, as is the Yak-9U compared to the wartime Yak-3.

I said low alt, not on the deck. At only 5K, the 190A-5 starts pushing 375mph, which puts it among the fastest aircraft at that altitude. IIRC, the A8 is pushing 357mph at 5k (too lazy to check the charts).

Heh, low alt doesn't get much lower than sea level...

No, but I can reach 5k in a matter of seconds, and I'll retain more energy after reaching 5k than the A8 has. Asside from that little band of altitude thats not even fully 4000ft high, the A5 is faster than the A8 at low altitude.

Sorry, but A5 = Yak-3, A8 = Yak-9.

The Yak3 and 9 are more different than you may think, they did not evolve from a common branch. The Yak1/3 are the lightweight series, the Yak7/9 the heavyweight series.

this is correct also the yak1/3 were designed as short range interceptors / air superiority fighters the yak9 was implimented because of Stalins desire for a more long range fighter that could fill many roles. This is why there were many different versions of the yak9 some are fighter bombers some pure fighters, night fighters, recon, and I believe they even attempted a full bomber version that carried internal bombs.

I only started flying the Yak9U a few weeks ago. I find it will  accelerate very fast and turns pretty good. It has too speeds fast and real fast but the gun package ain't much and you need to be very close to hit stuff with it. Any 109 has better guns than the Yak9U but I by far like flying the yak better and I an looking forward to the Yak3 in 2 weeks.
