Props Please
« on: March 31, 2012, 10:26:06 AM »
A special salute to Nefarious please.  This was not a regularly scheduled FSO.  To quote one of my favorite movies: "He just thought it up and did it."  The sky colors were used by a true superstar that stays quite in the background, so I won't mention Ghost Dancer's name.  Nefarious dreamed up special clouds and the terrain team whipped them out for this event.  Amazing how even the score was... I saw (and allowed) a lot of walkons last night.   Hopefully, some more people got a jones for FSO.  I know how to check on that, Thursdays beer sales are directly proportional to Friday's FSO attendance! Well Done Nefarious

Was a great event!  Glad to be a part of it, and FSO as always.

I loved the feel of being over the North Sea.  The clouds were awesome... the dark sky made it hard to see lower contacts too.  Frame rate too a bit of a hit at some of the cloud levels, but it wasnt too bad.

Keep up the great work!   :aok

Thanks guys. Great work Setup Team, and good job players for bringing nearly standard FSO attendance.
There must also be a flyable computer available for Nefarious to do FSO. So he doesn't keep talking about it for eight and a half hours on Friday night!

you pulled together an awesome fun night, Nef!  and the arena weather settings were simply beautiful!

TY Sir, and thanks to all other CM event staff and terrain CM members who helped

but why were the Allieds fighting each other? ROFL......... ( unless that has been fixed in the logs by now )

it seemed like it was a balanced/evened out battle for both sides for the most part

Allies v. Allies was my bad... In my defense it is 0100 by the time the logs are uploaded.  Fridays can be long days!  But did you notice that despite the name, all the players we on the right country (Bishops or Knights?)  Heres a hint, old school setup is almost always Bishops = Allies, Knights = Axis and the biggie = Rooks are CM country.  When it's otherwise, I get a facial tic!

IMHO, it's folks like Nef that make this event such a great time.  Kudos to him and the rest of the team for putting in some thought and clearly some effort.

We were fewer than usual but the guys that flew on Friday agreed it was an exciting time.

We were creeped-out by the sky in a good way.  The 'change' made each of us extra vigilant.  It was a real nice element.

Thanks for all that was put into it.
