This was pretty sweet. When I was in flight school ( from seattle WA, and trained at Boeing Field) an F18 fighter was in the run up box, and moving onto the runway for take off. I was excited to listen to his radio calls and see what his cool call sign was. I remember he called in "Boeing tower this is Frog 1, at 31L for Vashon Departure." Was dissapointed his name was Frog lol

As for those Navy guys, some just don't have a sense of style- runni'n around all over the place with their flight suits zipped all the way up to their belly button.  
Heck, you'll find callsigns like Dude and Rabid at certain AF UPT bases.  The only letdown is when tower calls back with "Rabbit22"

Probably wasn't his callsign.  With my limited experience in researching this kind of stuff normally flights have their own name separate from call signs.  For Instance you might have a flight of 4 named Viper 1, Viper 2, Viper 3, Viper 4 or something like that.  Probably his flight was Frog flight.
