Back in high school I swiped my parents Ventures albums and taught myself to play those songs. Still to this day when I hear The Ventures I am instantly transported back to my bedroom, sitting on my bed with headphones on and my guitar on my knee. Ahh man...

P.S. Here's one I found just looking around. If you like Dire Straits and The Ventures you'll like this I'm sure.
