I don't use CH Manager (so far as I know).  

Yes, I have a powered USB hub.  I guess I am missing your point as to how having or not having such a hub would affect the .jsm files described by Skuzzy.

download the ch manager and have it open while you play.  this may fix your problem.  if it doesnt they just delete it if you want.  it fixed mine and several others that had the same problem you did.  this was my major complain about ch when i first got it.  also make sure you download the drivers from ch only and dont let windows update them.
