Lancaster wingtip detaches in flight

From the picture I saw, I'd guess about 4-5'.

From other articles I found nothing departed the aircraft, bracket failed and wingtip was loose/moved a bit but stayed with the plane.

From the looks of the pic I'm wondering if this has anything to do with the Wishlist post for bombers enabled on CVs.

  This is what I read also,I've seen this bird many times as I live about an  hour from where it's kept.

  Would be a real shame to loose her,I wonder what will happen with the up comming airshow season?

Yipe... closer to 3-4' imho, but worse still seems the handling must of been wild since it didn't fully detach...  where's the wishlist forum!
