Rob Holland- Aerobatic Pilot
« on: May 16, 2012, 08:30:38 PM »
Well if any of you are aerobatic fans, you should know who Rob Holland is... He flies his own special MX aircraft and does solo and team demonstartions at airshows. He is a part of Firebirds Extreme with Jack Knutson and they as of this year will be flying a 4 man ship with two others who im not sure who they are... Well Jack Knutson is based on field and his wife, Sandy, was my main ground instructor at my college (CCBC). Sandy was always telling us stories of Rob and Jack and showing us videos. She even had jack come in and fill in for her in our aerodynamics class when she was sick and we just talked about aerodynamics and aerobatics and how they related.

Well yesterday, Rob stopped in at Beaver County while repositioning from the Nashville area to somewhere in the Northeast for an airshow this weekend or next. He flew in as a flight of two along with John Klatt's MX which was piloted by a repositioning pilot. They parked in front of Jack's hangar which was on the other side of the field from where i was. So me and three friends went over and was talking with him and looking at his and John's Mx's. Also a two seater extra and bonanza came in and meet up with them. Luckily i had my good camera with me. Later they came over to the FBO i was working at and bought fuel and departed.

yes he does! He pretty much is regarded as being the best out there right now. Just look at the tail and see what he has won.
