had to look him up...never paid much attention to it but i was living in sioux city at the time of the crash landing. he pulled off quite a feat.  :salute

I remember when that happened.  He did an excellent job getting that plane down in a way and place to give people a chance.

Not to take anything away from Fitch but there were 3 pilots in that cockpit.  From everything I've read/heard it took all 3 of them.

He would be the first to say that.   Nevertheless, he controlled the throttles, the primary means of control in their situation by far.  If you watch all six parts of the the video linked show I posted in the original post, you will see what a humble, team oriented attitude he has.  A great captain and human being. :salute
