Lyric1 found me some photos and a profile for this RAAF Spitfire Mk XVI based at Maltask airfield in Norfolk, UK during Spring 1945. This was the personal aircraft of Wing Commander Donald Andrews who was at this time in command of the Australian Wing, which comprised 451 and 453 squadrons. Apart from his personal "DGA" code his aircraft also featured an Australian flag on the tail and his own noseart just ahead of the cockpit.
BTW does anyone know if the Australian Wing had an official RAF number (i.e. 123 Wing or whatever)? I just need something to put in the hangar name file. This aircraft was maintained by 453 Squadron but technically wasn't part of it.
