26 July 2012 Thursday 8th AF Mission

8th Air Force Mission 

Launch Country - Knight
Target Country - Bishop

Launch Time Bombers - 9PM EST/8PM CST
Launch Time Fighters - 9:30PM EST/8:30PM CST

Target - Large Airfield and Town 3 sectors behind Bishop frontline

8th AF Heavy Bombardment Mission will launch from a rear Knight airfield with B-17s and B-24s each with 24 slots.  B-17s will have seperate targets from the B-24s.  Town will be shared.  8th Bomber Commander will determine VOX before start of mission.

8th AF Fighter Mission will launch from seperate airfield 30 minutes after bombers.  P-38J and L, P-47D-25, N and M, and P-51B and D fighters will be used with 16 slots apiece.  P-38s will have specific mission to perform.  P-47s will have multiple missions to perform.  P-51s will have specific mission to perform.  8th Fighter Commander will determine VOX channels for three aircraft types.  Local VOX will be used for communication between different aircraft types and bombers.

This is open to all players.  Make sure to be on correct country 12 hours before.  Knight for Allied and Bishop for Axis.

Roll film and or take screenshots of the action for the forums.

Why would there be P-47Ns, they never saw service in Europe or with the 8th? P-47Ms only saw action in the last 3 months of the war and P-51Bs would have been phased out as well if this is your time frame.
