Top speed of the junkers was about 150mph. Top speed of the C47 about 230-235?

Close enough to "twice as fast"

So.... what would your old man say to you back in the day as a kid if you came home from the store with 80-cents change instead of a buck-fifty?

That's not how they work. The flight model is based on the airflow over the specific shapes of the wings, airframe, engines, tail surfaces, etc. You can't just copy and paste the C-47 onto the Ju52. They are totally different planes.

Ah well, never mind then.

The Ju 52 was as fast as 165-170 mph in about 1km altitude. It could not fly faster because of the supercharing system of the engines - optimized for low alt missions.

Teh DC-3/C-47 had a better alt performance as their mission profile was different so alt-optimized engines were used. Max speed is reported in about 3km.

The C-47A in AH seems to do about 220mph at 3,000ft.  That is still a good 50-55mph faster.
