BBS "Ignore" function

Numerous other boards I frequent have a user function that allows one to block or "ignore" all posts by any specific user..... do we have such ability here? Kinda like a .squelch for the BBS.....

Lets face it, there are some members here who's posts have absolutely zero value, and sometimes even detract greatly from the positive experience that this community generally provides. HiTech would be doing a great service to his customers by giving us the ability to permanently BBS .squelch specific people.

Am I missing it somewhere where we already have this? If not, can we get it?

Yes we have. Go to "personal message options" and enter the name into the ignore list.

will this block just personal messages, or all posts from the specified individual on the BBS, such as a post by that person in a post in the general discussion?

My wish would be that any and every time that person typed something on the BBS, the content of that person's post would read on your screen as "this message ignored."

The ignore function works well, I currently have 3 people on ignore on the forums and it makes the forums much better.

For those who have little to no self control, it might be better to completely hide the post from an ignored user instead of simply showing "you are ignoring these posts". Then they don't even know that user posted and won't be tempted to "show the post anyway". 

But alas, it's the BBS software that decides how to implement an "ignore".
