The first 8 of his 52 aerial victories were claimed in the battle of Kursk and subsequent counter-attack. Flying the La-5 he claimed 5 victories in July and 3 more in August. VMF-222 had the pleasure of running into Top Gun, and after film review I actually had guns on Butcher for just a moment before DrBone took off pieces and I ran like a girl.  Great fight as always men!

S!! It was a pleasure Zoney we certainly had a tough time playing with the bombers, Bone actually gave us orders to knock out the fighter's instead, but the Escort did their job - I got knocked down from 25k to 15k and couldn't recover to chase the buffs again.

I didnt tell you personally Butcher that you were the Ace Pilot, but they were in the orders that I sent. I will be a little more vigilant next time. It was our first time as CiC, things could have gone a little better  :o Missing an entire squad of defenders certainly doesnt help :uhoh All in All a fairley positive experience for us A Big <S> to my guys Poppy, Mesen256 and Surfinn for all of the help with planning. Any feedback you Allied guys could give, would be greatly appreciated, be it good or bad. But please be gentle, still hurting from the Bu t Whooping we took.
Thanks to all who participated

I wanna know who upped the armor on the Yaks. Everyone in Kommando Nowotny had their chance to put rounds in them. Took forever for them to go down.

Also want to relay a  :salute to Arabian Knights for some great flying.

If you were fighting AKs then that would be the AK Armor MOD for FSO.  :D
