so we took the boat out on sunday and cruisin along and all of the sudden grrrrrrrrr then vrooooooooooom. UH OH I said now what, paddled back and the wife tried to tow the boat by swimming(totally comical wish I would have gotten it on cam) get the boat home and this is what I found.
called marina and its 770 for a new upper case. check this before running
if you have a mercruiser lol I am thinking it was due to a bad bearing there on top gave it enough slack to not mesh gears right.
