Observer
« on: June 16, 2012, 11:50:48 PM »
So tell me if this is a bad idea, but i think we should make 1 or 2 of the WW1 arena planes observer aircraft in the MA. Like the Storch. Frankly those WW1 planes aren't getting much use other than the few guys that go to the WW1 arena anyway. I think you would see much more use out of those planes if they were given a role in the MA. That was alot of work on HTC's part to see it go to waste like that.   Just my $ .02  :airplane:

Why? Keep the WWII arenas to things that took part in WWII.  The Storch does fine on its own.

why not
i say if you want to fly a outdated bird in a arena your going to get raped in go for it

hell i might do it just for the fun of it once or twice

this of the pure entertainment when one group of guys talks ten to twenty people into taking ww1 planes on a fighter run be like the d3 runs you get sometimes now but far less lethal and way more entertaining to watch

perhaps there's a reason why the called them ww1 arena, ew arena, mw arena and late war arena.  along with the training arena.  da arena.  and off line arena.  ava arena....to drunk to remember the rest of the arenas.  that reminds me i dated a girl called bertha arenas.  we should have our own arena, well if I could find her.  then again, she's 50 now, i may not want to :).

Because litterally none of them saw action in WWII. Not even the republic of China used WWI aircraft during WWII.

The closest thing was the PO-2.

If you want to go out and get raped by WWII aircraft in a WWI plane, hop in the DA, and up a D7 or an F2B.
You started this thread and it was obviously about your want and desire in spite of your use of 'we' and Google.

like tank ace said.  there's a ww1 arena.  then there ew, mw and lw arenas all referring to airplanes that flew in ww2.  that's the point i was trying to make

you all seem to be missing my point. I want to use it as an observer aircraft such as the storch. they would get used much more often.

If we're talking planes used to "observe", I vote for the C6N.

We understand perfectly.  We also disagree because they are not WWII aircraft.
