Films of TOD mission

I filmed the 8th vs LW (TOD) bomber fight from just before the LW engaged us, to my explosive death at the hands of BD.

This is the film of the bomber duel afterwards.  Once again BD manages to destroy me.  (His plane must be titanium shielded, I hit him (not exagerated) 50 + times, with no apparant damage.  Take a look at the film.)

These files are pretty large.  The first is 500Kbytes and the second 210Kbytes.  The first film would be good viewing by HTC and company, as there were some very strange things going on during the battle.  Server Overload???  You can see Jarbo's b17 going back and forth, and the enemy fighters zig-zagging all over the place.

On the plus side, it was a lot of fun, and I hope to do it again.  Thanks guys for setting this up.

I`m bummed!   I tried filming several times but all show me in the tower, but I can watch the text buffer and see us calling bogeys out to each other during the fight. The films I made prior and after in the main arena work fine.

Hey guys,

Here is another film, this time it's LW side. Shows my kill of unlucky 51 and then of an assist on killing bloom25   (hehe I guess it will be fun to watch hwo it happened from both perspectives - look for the bloom's file above). I died a bit later in a classic what not to do situation - engaging bombers from dead 6 with a low speed
Movie is a bit long. It's a bit less then 1.5MB and it starts with me rolling on the runway. In order to play the file RENAME film8.zip into film8.ahf, put it into your Aces High/Films directory and run it.

Hi Bloom!

Here are films of the engagements from my side:

http://www.users.uswest.net/~jschwerin/ahfiles/attkbmbr.zip

Above is a film showing my attack of the formation, downing of two bombers (including Bloom), and my own demise. (258k)

http://www.users.uswest.net/~jschwerin/ahfiles/prisoner.zip

Above is a humorous film showing my "capture" of two of the bomber pilots on the ground after we all have bailed. (50k)

http://www.users.uswest.net/~jschwerin/ahfiles/buffduel.zip

Above is a film showing the Buff Duel and my side of the battle with Bloom.  (200k)

All of the above are zipped files.  Simply unzip into your AH Films folder.  Enjoy!

Anyhooo, regarding the Buff battle, Bloom, I think most of your pings were from D-1.0 or greater (haven't seen your film yet), which gave them less velocity (just a theory).  You DID kill one engine before I broke off the chase.  I also got shot down later in both engagements.

Still trying to figure out how to craft an unobtainium plane...

BD

I have an aerial perspective of your "capture" of the enemy.  Brought my 109 right over head as you came in contact with them.

BD you are right, most of the pings were from long range.  Take a look at the film though, you must have been hit 50 - 60 times.  Either way, I you for your flying, it was a lot of fun.
