The Martin Baker Fan Club

I tell you what I'm tired of all the bomber pilots bailing out, I got up to one at 30,000 ft and he bailed two of them. I spent quite a while trying to catch up to him in a P-40E, and then my efforts were spoiled. There has to be a solution to stop people from bailing.  :noid

Interesting since a P40E barely goes above 25k, you know lack of supercharger and all, even then attempting to catch a bomber is quite slim since b24s will easily outrun you as well as B17s.

you cant tell people how to play their game.  if they took 1 hour to climb to 30k just to bail out then laugh about it as you spoiled their run.  it also counts as a death on their score .

It's not the death that the bailers fear but rather an attempt to not give credit to the person who climbed after them.

There are some pilots who will gladly die any other way than one that gives someone a kill credit.

I used to hunt 163s with spits, c202, c205, a6m5, and a6m3 and I probably have 20 films of guys upping a 163, finding a game fighter instead of a bomber, and instantly diving away at 600mph so they can get far enough away from me to chute out without giving up a proximity kill.

I love people who try hunting a 163, as it outclasses every fighter in the game hands down, if he had any sense of ACM he'd win quite easily.

I win over 70% of my hunts and land the sortie.

Sadly, that 70% is only of the guys 30% of guys who stay around when they find a fighter but I do manage get some of the runners.

It's not easy when you have to fight 4x163s at the same time.

You have 20 films of enemy pilots upping 163s to find you in a fighter and then they run and bail?

yeah sure you do :lol

I would find it very surprising to see players bail en masse from a 50 perk point plane, just because they see an enemy fighter.

Yeah its called B.S. Maybe one player bailed when he ran outa gas to far from base, I rarely ever see someone survive in a fighter near a me163 base.

Then you should post them, all 20 or so.  Boy that would certainly be neat to see.

I guess I could make a "best of" video but my internet access is by cell phone connection tethered to my pc which severely limits my ability to transfer any large file.

If your name comes up, I can attach your headshots to a PM.

They don't bail when they are "en masse".

They bail when they are alone.

I've spent most of my aces high career exploring the corners of the game and the 163 hunts can be fun.

It's just an AFK climb away and it's there is some fun to be derived from roping the 163 into flying too far from a base by staying out of a dar ring but using the rest of the sector to maximize the distance the 163 needs to fly.

While the planning is fun, the short fight that ensues is full of action as is the journey home.

Many 163 kills were immediately followed with long "hide and seek" chase and running battle with a late war fast fighter upped by the former 163 pilot trying to find me while I fly NOE home or climb to super high altitudes to stretch the fuel.

I haven't yet landed the 163/262 combo but it's something to shoot for.

This screen capture was an epic battle but Wil3ur persisted after the others dove away and smartly used the flaps to humiliate me in a turning battle.

Haven't done it in a while because I am exploring other dark corners of the sim.........usually after being jolted out of my "base take" agenda by watching 3x CV die at the same enemy field within 4 minutes.

maybe they just realized they didn't want to waste their time 4 on 1 for a single spitty?
