That is correct. I was stationed on the "Eisenhower" CVN69 and even tho we launched jets we always turned into the wind to launch. But as Earl said, the course was stabilized before launches commenced.

Earl, you could still use the mission editor. For launches off a CV you could have a guy list those in the mission, and launch the mission 3 minutes before the actual launch. Have the guy with the list sit in the tower and call out each player one at a time to launch. Allow 15-20 second to start the engine and roll, call the next name. This will get everyone a clear deck to maneuver if they must (they may not need to as the mission won't be launching for a few more minutes so a Ahole may not turn it). Once you have everyone in the air you group them up and start for your target. The mission pop-up will come up while your in the air, but they can click out of it.

HTC won't "fix" it until they could come up with a way to avoid someone "gaming" it. The quickest and easiest solution is for you to adjust your launch to give your self the best chance of success.
:x Thanks for the suggestion, will give it a try ASAP. The reason I am so adamant about the CV thing, I am an Air Force vet and I just think it is neat to have the carrier capability in the game and I in joy the U.S. Navy missions.
Blue Skies and wind at my back and wish that for all!!!

I did not see this alternative mentioned yet, however some think it's gamey. Use the F3 view mode modified up a little after pressing F8. I use this method anytime I am launching from a carrier and it is turning. And you have to be quick in resetting your view once your wheels leave the deck.
